Good Deep Support for the Seasons of your Life…
In addition to my writing work, I am also a trained full spectrum doula, community grief ritual facilitator, folk herbalist with a focus on clinical skills, former Perinatal Support WA peer support volunteer, have a Masters degree in public school education rooted in a social justice anti-racist pedagogy, and I once ran my own Sex and Love advice booth for a couple summers at the Lopez Island Farmer’s Market!
Which means you can hire me or recommend my services to someone you care about!
Read on to learn more about my various intersections of good deep work and how I can support you or someone you love.

Doula Work
What does “full spectrum” mean? It means I offer support around/related to birth, postpartum, abortion, miscarriage/loss. I have a particular passion for postpartum education/preparation and ritual support for the rite of passage that is becoming a mother/parent/father. I am also a baby-wearing enthusiast so if you want to learn more about ring slings, woven wraps or soft structured carriers I’m here for it.
You can learn more about my doula services over at my doula website:
Wild Beloved
Herbal Work
Plant matchmaking is one of my favorite things to do. While I no longer grow herbs to sell to clients, I still work with clients one on one. I offer consultations to help you decipher which herbs are a good fit, how to incorporate herbs into your daily rhythm and where to source quality herbs and products. Email me to learn more.
Grief Work
"Shared joy is double joy. Shared sorrow is half sorrow.”
I don’t know where that quote comes from, but I’ve been carrying it with me for at least twenty years. We were never meant to carry the immense complexity of sorrows modern times ask of us all alone. Email me to discuss hosting a Community Grief Ritual or work with you to craft your own personal ritual. Earth grief, birth/motherhood/parent grief, ancestral grief, and grief of white supremacy culture, are some of my particular threads of grief that I continue to learn about and work with.
Sexuality Peer Support
From my own personal experiences as a sexual being raised in the deep South and misogony to begin with, healing from domestic violence and rape, to following my intuition and starting a Sex and Love Advice booth in 2013, to my graduate research on the link between sexual violence and the lack of comprehensive sex education and what an animistic framework to relationships might look like, to coming to terms with my own inherent neurodivergent non- monogamous pan-sexual self… I have been wondering, thinking, healing from, studying, listening, failing, and trying to put into practice what liberatory sexual and intimate relationships can and ought to look like for many years. While I don’t believe we can ever truly achieve sexual freedom under white supremacy and capitalism, I do believe the more we get free the more we undo generations of harm going forward and back.
General Peer Support
Sometimes we need a compassionate perspective from someone outside our immediate circle. I offer peer support virtually or in person at our beautiful rural property in Whatcom County, WA. From reviewing a birth plan to preparing to set boundaries with in-laws postpartum, from navigating intimacy in parenthood to non-monogamy; from creating ritual to support a transition in your life, to trying to de-center the human experience and court a more animistic way of living; or simply, you’d like to wonder out loud with someone about the generational effects of settler colonialism and who understands what it’s like to live broken hearted all of the fucking time…. reach out. My soul callings, the red threads I’ve been following for decades, along with my education and life experience means I bring perspective and insight not often easily gleaned from dominant North American culture.
