Welcome to the end-of-the-month edition of Tears of Things- The Monthly Delights! This is for paid subscribers as fun bonus content for supporting this newsletter.

The Monthly Delights is an end of of the month round up where I share all the things I’ve been enjoying lately. This month: sexy and comfy lounge wear because I hope you are resting as much as possible this winter season, a poem I adore, an end of year practice and more….

A New Year’s Special for you!

I am currently offering a New Year’s Special for all of you current paying subscribers to entice you to stick around for next year, and for all you free subscribers who might on the fence about taking the leap to paid support. For some perspective…..

This writing project was birthed March 2023 with my first post published 3/21, the day after my 41st birthday. So this baby is at the crawling stage of its infancy and well on her way to walking. At this juncture paid subscriptions don’t come anywhere near covering the cost of the time it takes me to research, write, and choose the media. It’s harder still with my ADHD/neurodivergent brain- I get so excited about all the things I want to share with you and write about, that essays I wish were finished remain in draft form (and I can’t tell you how many of those there are)!

I am pleased to say that thanks to YOU paying subscribers I’ll take home about $671 at the end of the year or $55/month after all associated fees with Stripe, the platform Substack partners with to manage paid subscriptions. $671 is about a month of childcare and $55/month is a little over a tank of gas for me or a well stuffed bag of groceries. That’s something y’all! As a stay at home mom about to birth my 3rd child in April, this means so much to me to have this financial support for this writing project.

THANK YOU!

For 2024 I would love to grow this newsletter to become a bit more self sustaining- could I grow paid readership to help me bring in $200 bucks a month? Can you help me do that? Share this with a friend. That would be amazing. I’ve got some ambitious plans for Tears of Things for 2024 - from an interview series I’ve got in the works to a 4 Week Writing Class I’ll be offering in March.

Paying subscribers will have first dibs on registering for the class.
Details to come!

With that note, a big WELCOME and THANK YOU to some NEW PAYING SUBSCRIBERS.

And now for the last Monthly Delights for 2023!
