This week’s song is a straight up break up song.
The Wild Reeds are an indie band from Los Angeles, CA, who stand out to me because of their female fronted 3 part harmonies, which I just love love love, and because well, apparently, and unsurprisingly our human brains are wired to appreciate harmony.
Enjoy this week’s song, Let No Grief.

Maybe one day you’ll wipe the dust off my face
and see me again
Give me that dazed look that I love
and make me remember when
We were together
with such joy exuding from us like a fountain
Spilling between us at such a great pace
like melting snow on a mountain
Now I have to sing something louder than I have before
So I can escape this overwhelming pain
and never hurt no more
The seasons are changing and supposedly I have to as well
My heart is pacing and I have to break free from your spell
Now I have to sing something louder than I have before
So I can escape this overwhelming pain
and never hurt no more
I was lifted above ground
now I have been placed back down below
Love has that power to make you fly
When you’ve been feeling so low
Now I have to sing something louder than I have before
So I can escape this overwhelming pain
and never hurt no more
Now I have to sing something louder than I have before
So I can escape this overwhelming pain
and never hurt no more
Please speak sweet to me
Oh somber hearted let no grief
Destroy the time we have to be
Close quiet and free
Please speak sweet to me
Oh somber hearted let no grief
Destroy the time we have to be
Close quiet and free
Maybe one day you’ll wipe the dust off my face and see me again
